Instagrammable Places

Milan is one of those cities filled with landmarks you can’t miss whether you’re living here or just simply passing by. Of course, you must get a photo of yourself in front of Bosco Verticale, Castello Sforzesco and Arco della Pace, however this is not one of those articles that will only list the obvious for you. Google already does a great job at that.

Our mission is to be able to give you information and stories only locals could passionately tell you all about! Therefore, with the following list of places not only will you be able to make for a great Instagram post but you will also be able to tell your friends what Milan is truly made of.

#1. Duomo’s rooftop

The Duomo cathedral may be one of the more breathtaking cathedrals out there. This gothic beauty tells a story through all its corners, inside and out. It is no secret that Duomo’s rooftop is accessible to the public, anyone can book and we are here to remind you to get tickets too.

Location: P.za del Duomo, 20122 Milano MI

#2. Leonardo Da Vinci’s Secret Vineyard

Leonardo Da Vinci was born in Tuscany in 1452 and moved up to the north of Italy in 1482 to work for the Duke Ludovico Sforza where he would spend the next 20 years creating some of Milan’s greatest treasures. As a thank you, the Duke gifted Leonardo this small and beautiful vineyard. There are tours available every 30 minutes and you can even sample some wine!

Location: Corso Magenta, 65, 20123 Milano MI

#3. Prada’s Golden Tower

Fondazione Prada has provided us all with the coolest demonstrations and a rich cultural programme for the last 20 years. The design in this complex consists of somewhat greyish and monotone buildings with one tower in particular standing out due to its golden colour. With the right outfit, this would be the perfect background for your Instagram story.

Location: L.go Isarco, 2, 20139 Milano MI

#4.  Vogue’s Kiosk

This classic magazine stand is hidden away in the fashion district of Milan. A kiosk that may not be easy to come by. It is the perfect spot for a stylish shot, so we suggest you bring your best suit.

Location: Via dei Giardini 20121 Milano MI

#5. HangarBicocca

Pirelli Hangar Bicocca is a place for contemporary art exhibitions. You may have to travel a little bit outside of the city centre for this one, but we promise that its warehouses covered in neon lights will be worth it.

Location: Via Chiese, 2, 20126 Milano MI
