The Oldest Tram In The World

Milan’s Tram Line #1 operates the oldest trams anywhere in the world.

The Milanese icon was famously exported to San Francisco where they now sit in museums, but here you can still ride the originals.

Tram Type.1928, of which 150 still run through the city, were all built between 1928-'32. Their polished wooden interiors, ornate lighting and raised cabins, afford a special perspective of the city, as you wind through the historical quarters.
