The Most Infamous Street
Vicolo Calusca, a small street near Darsena, used to feature a notorious meeting house that everyone knew as Cà Losca (hence the name of the alley we know today).
Desperate men who found criminality, gambling and sex their outlet to life, found refuge in Cà Losca and the small alley frequented by people who exchanged mysterious goods on the limits of legality.
In a short time, the fame of the alley began to spread throughout the city. The alley became known to all as 'Milans underground' - a wild west refuge, where police of the day didn't enter.
Vicolo Calusca still exists today, but very little remains of its dark past, since swallowed up by new businesses, including some popular student bars!
